Let’s understand first ‘WHAT IS RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS'.

A chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorder affecting many joints including hands and joints.
Being an autoimmune disorder,body’s immune system harms its own tissue cells of the joints.
In severely affected cases,internal organs get involved.
EXPRESSION in the form of painful swelling of the joint linings.
In chronic cases,joint deformities and bone erosion happens.
Treatment modalities include..
•Self care.
•Medication.
•Physiotherapy .
•Medical procedure.
•Surgical intervention.

What is Oral ulceration:
Painful sores on the inner lips,gums,tongue,roof of the mouth and throat interfere with the eating and speaking abilities.

Rheumatoid arthritis can cause mouth sores in terms of MUCOSITIS (INFLAMMATION OF THE LINING OF THE MOUTH) with the use of methotrexate drug for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and also TNF-(TUMOUR necrosis factor) BLOCKERS NSAIDs.
CHANGES IN THE GUT and ORAL MICROBIOME lead to oral ulceration in the mouth on and off.

RA(RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS) TREATMENT INVOLVES IMMUNOSUPPRESENTS which can aggravate the mouth related flare-ups.
Treatment includes combining Methotrexate and folic acid supplements.

■CURD SHOULD BE INCORPORATED IN THE DIET.

Local steriod therapy application.
